Overview of the Exam

Gratitude Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level exam conducted annually in eight zones across India by one of the seven IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras & Roorkee) and IISc, Banglore on a rotational basis for admission into various postgraduate programs like M.Tech., M.Arch., M.Sc. Ph.D, dual degree programs etc. The organizing institute for GATE 2021 is IIT Bombay. The GATE score is mandatory for admission into top institutes like IITs, NITs. and it is also usually considered for recruitment by PSUs like BHEL, ONGC, for various positions. Candidate can appear for any ONE (max. two depending on the available combination, infrastructure and date) of the 27 papers in GATE: 1. Aerospace Engineering, 2. Agricultural Engineering, 3.
