Course Description

The course provides an understanding of the policy cycle. Candidates are engaged in public policy through a series of stages that can vary in sequence. The study teaches the basic sequence that is agenda setting, its formulation , then the legitimation along with implementation and then the evaluation of policies. The study focuses on aspects of environmental justice which emphasizes fair distribution of environmental benefits and burdens. It considers meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race, color, national origin, or income, with respect to the development, implementation, and enforcement of environmental laws, regulations, and policies.The focus of the programme is also concerned with the promotion of South-South Cooperation by RIS, a forum for fostering effective policy and collaboration with developing countries in multilateral negotiations in various forums.

The candidate should have passed a 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
