The post-fellowship programme in Head & Neck Oncology gives you a lot of hands-on experience with complex ablative head and neck oncologic surgery and minimally invasive techniques. Composite resection of tumours of the oral cavity and oropharynx, craniofacial resection of sinonasal tumours, excision of advanced skin cancers, salivary gland tumours, early and advanced laryngeal cancers, hypopharyngeal cancers, parapharyngeal space tumours, advanced thyroid cancers, Transoral Laser Microsurgery (TLM), and endoscopic skull base surgery including the trans-nasal approach to the pituitary and other skull base tumours are also included. These procedures are done by a team of specialists who work together. The curriculum for this fellowship has been put together by the Head and Neck and Plastic Surgery Services. It includes a lot of experience with head and neck reconstruction but also takes advantage of the high volume of microvascular surgery to help with flap harvest and microsurgery for reconstructive cases outside of the head and neck.
