Course Description

M. Tech Research Metallurgical and Materials Engineering is a very flourishing field in the domain of Engineering. This is a postgraduate (P.G.) course that that is very particularly associated with the Metallurgical based Engineering. Metallurgical Engineering is strongly concerned with the production, development, and the processing of non-ferrous, ferrous, or other mineral based materials. It has the strong basis for the varied innovative or products involving a few (and new) technological growth and developments in the fields of technology, industry, and even medicine. This particular course focuses on the various materials that are designed and produced including the general research to understand the structure and availability of materials thoroughly. The individuals who study this course also tend to investigate the different opportunities to optimize the already known and well defined materials (e.g. magnesium, ceramic, steel, aluminum, glass, etc.). Few subjects that are involved and are very important for this course are Thermodynamics of the Engineering materials, Numerical Methods and the Programming aspect in Materials Engineering.
