Mechatronics is defined as “a synergistic combination of precision mechanical engineering, electronic control and systems thinking in the design of products and manufacturing processes". Mechatronics systems and subsystems appear across all industries, including automotive, aerospace, consumer electronics, machinery, equipment, and others. Mechatronics systems are excellent candidates for design process optimization due to the high complexity of Mechatronics designs, the high degree of integration of electrical, mechanical and information-processing components, the overlapping design disciplines and system behaviors, and the critical nature of optimizing of the overall system.
The candidate should have completed B. E./B. Tech./M.Sc in engineering or sciences discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and a valid score in GATE.
