Course Description

M Sc Psychiatric Nursing is a 2 Year Postgraduate Programme that trains the students to be capable of diagnosing, treating psychiatric illnesses and taking care of them. The course brings together life science and health science. Training is provided in areas such as Nursing Education, Nursing Management, Advanced Nursing Practice, Nursing Research (Dissertation), Nursing Research and Statistics, Clinical Specialty, Psychiatric Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing etc. After completing the course, one can go for further studies or pursue their career as a Nurse, Nurse Educator etc. Higher studies has specialisations such as Forensics, Substance Abuse, and Geropsychiatric Nursing

Eligibility

The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with a Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
