Course Description

Environmental chemistry deals with global challenges and issues caused by industrialization. The 2 years post graduate course of M.sc in environmental chemistry helps one to learn to address the global environmental chemical challenges with required skills and knowledge. The course sheds light on the core understanding of processes in air, soil, and water, subjects include inorganic and organic chemistry, microbiology, toxicology, ecosystem analysis, and human-environment interactions. The syllabus covers topics such as Fundamentals of Quantitative Analysis and Separation Methods, Stereo-chemistry & Thermo - Analytical Methods, Environmental and Pollution Control, Computer in Chemical Analysis, elementary Electronics in Chemical Instrumentation, Environmental Toxicology & Environmental Impact Assessment, Energy and Environmental Geochemistry, Environmental Laws and Management, Organic Pollutants and many more.


The candidate should have completed Bachelor’s Degree in relevant faculty or discipline from a recognized university with Minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. Many colleges conduct Entrance exams for admission to this course.
