The program offers a one-year fellowship that teaches orthopaedic oncology to prepare fellows for academic careers caring for cancer patients. This comprehensive training program encompasses clinical and basic research, as well as patient care. The fellow is exposed to a broad spectrum of malignant and benign musculoskeletal tumors. The program also combines basic science investigative work with intensive multidisciplinary clinical training.
The candidate should have completed orthopaedic residencies and be Board-eligible for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Foreign medical graduates with equivalent qualifications are also eligible to apply and must have completed all three of the USMLE examinations.
