Course Description

M.A Marathi is a 2 year postgraduate course. The course curriculum covers topics like Study of Literature Genre, Linguistic Study of Marathi, Modern Marathi Literature, Medieval Marathi Prose and Poetry, Modern trends in Marathi Literature, Study of Marathi Folk literature, Modern Literature, Some Modernisms in Marathi literature, Folk Literature and Folk art, Western Poetics, etc. The course takes a theoretical based approach. On completion of the course, one can work as Primary School Teacher, Secondary School Teacher, High School Teacher, Translator, Content Writer, Editor, School Counselor, Data Analyst, Assistant Editor etc. Applicants can further go into research or become a lecturer.

Eligibility

The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (any stream + English) or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
