Course Description

BA Social and Civic Studies is a three-year full-time undergraduate degree programme. The goal of this course is to provide students with a comprehensive liberal arts education that includes extensive lessons in writing, analysis, and advancement-oriented critical thinking. Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Geography, Political Science, Cultural Studies, and Criminology are among the subjects covered in the BA Social and Civic Studies curriculum. In India, the average annual programme fee ranges from INR 50,000 to INR 12,00,000, depending on the institute offering the course. This course is primarily intended to train qualified students in developing strategies to assist in the resolution of a wide range of social issues on both the local and international levels. The goal of the BA Social and Civic Studies programme is to provide students with relevant skills and proficiency in problem solving, information processing, effective social writing, cross-cultural awareness, creative and critical thinking in a variety of contexts. Sociology, Social Anthropology, Educational Studies and Economics, Gender Studies, and other subjects are covered in the BA Social Science curriculum. This course is essentially a foundation course that will allow students to improve their fundamental knowledge of Social Science. This course teaches students how a society works, what causes unemployment, what contributes to economic growth, how and why people vote, and many other topics.

Eligibility

Duration: 3 years Level: Graduation Students who wish to apply for admission to the BA Social Science programme must meet the following minimum eligibility requirements: Applicants must have completed Class 12 or equivalent in a relevant discipline from a recognised board with a minimum of 50% marks. Students who have completed Class 12 and have an International Baccalaureate Diploma are also eligible to apply for this course.
