This course is designed to gain knowledge, understand and analyze the structure, sound, meaning, use, and development of language. The course teaches the development of strong skills in research, analysis, and critical thinking. The coursework of this degree is comprehensive, covering topics ranging from phonetics, which focuses on sound patterns in speech, to semantics, which focuses on how meaning is derived from words.
The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (any stream + English) or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 60% marks in aggregate. Few colleges / universities may require entrance level tests.
