Course Description

BTech Solar and Alternate Energy is a four-year undergraduate degree programme in renewable energy. This course provides a thorough examination of topics such as advanced material physics, solar thermal engineering, biofuel cell technology, solar power technology, etc. Amity University, Noida International University, and other prestigious institutions offer BTech Solar and Alternate Energy programmes. The average annual fee is also higher than other B.Tech courses, ranging between INR 1.5 and 3 lakh per year. After completing the course, graduates can pursue careers as a Solar Power Engineer, Solar PV Designer, Electrical Engineer, Research and Development Engineer, Monitoring & Field Testing Engineer, etc. The average annual salary is expected to be between INR 3 and 4 lakh. BTech Solar and Alternate Energy graduates can find work in bio-energy, photovoltaic, wind power, hydropower, and other industries. They can also pursue advanced studies and pursue courses such as M.Tech/ME in a related field.

Eligibility

After completing 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, students can pursue BTech Solar and Alternate Energy courses. Candidates must have a 10+2 grade point average of at least 60% or higher. Entrance exams are typically used to determine admissions, followed by counselling or a personal interview. Merit-Based Few private institutes offer merit-based admissions to the B.Tech programme. For selection, the institutes look at the student`s previous academic scores. Candidates with the minimum cut-off scores in 10+2 will be contacted for further consideration. Entrance-Based Registration: Interested candidates can register for the examination by visiting the official website of the national or state level examination. Entrance Exam: They must download the admit card and take the entrance exam to meet the exam`s minimum cut-off. The exam results will be released, and a merit list of the students who have been shortlisted. Counselling: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to counselling, where they can select an institute and a course. Enrollment: After they have been chosen, they can enrol by paying the admission fees.
