B. Sc. Agriculture (Hons) course aims to train the candidates to improve agricultural productivity, manage the conceptualization, manufacturing and packaging of products and do the groundwork for future developments in the agriculture industry through research activities. The course curriculum covers concepts such as land surveying, basics of biotechnology, use of modern scientific equipment and techniques in agriculture, nutrition, agricultural marketing or journalism, welfare and disease advisors, and so on. This course also focuses on developing innovative and economic ways to conserve soil and water and thus, aid in the improvement of the processing of existent agricultural machinery, equipment and structures.
The candidate should have qualified 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Math) or its equivalent from a recognized board of education with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
