What does Validation Engineer do?

The validation engineer is in charge of verifying that a product adheres to its specifications. They validate electronic systems and subsystems in the realm of embedded systems. The validation engineer begins by examining the system or subsystem specification papers to validate to learn its features, regardless of his speciality (electronics, RF, software). In collaboration with the product teams, they create a validation/test strategy. After this strategy has been authorised, they conduct tests, such as on an emulation platform as part of a project to validate intellectual property or on target equipment within a test bench as part of software validation. After the tests are done, the validation engineer examines the findings and creates reports that allow the discovered defects to be tracked down. They may be involved in the design teams' resolve of the problem.
