Who is Orthodontist?
Dentistry is a branch of medicine specialised in oral health who are entitled to diagnose and treat conditions of the gums, teeth, tongue and mouth. Orthodontists are dentists who receive intense training to diagnose and treat the misalignment of teeth and jaws. The job of an Orthodontist is to diagnose, examine and treat dental malocclusions and oral cavity oddities. Fabricate and design apparatuses to realign teeth and jaws to deliver and maintain normal function and to improve appearance. orthodontist study diagnostic records, like medical or dental accounts, plaster models of the teeth, photographs of a patient's face and teeth, and X-rays, to create patient treatment plans. Analyze patient information to decide patient needs or treatment objectives.
To conduct detailed examination to identify the issues with teeth and jaws.
To deal with the abnormalities and help the clients enhance the personal appearance and facial function and to rectify speech patterns.
To observe facial growth in children.
To identify the factors that have the potential to develop an issue and provide treatment to avoid them.
To deal with pain due to bad bite and movements caused by habits such as thumb sucking.
To provide health care maintenance tips for follow ups.
To provide customised treatment plan by utilising several methods such as X-Ray and moulds.
To take X-Rays, create plaster moulds and device embraces, headgear etc.
To install the dental appliances.
To plan a follow up pattern and maintain continuous review on the progress and make appropriate re- adjustments.
To perform teeth straightening surgery when necessary.
Stay updated on the new technologies for the corrective regimens.

The orthodontists should be face, mouth, jaw and skull specialists.
