Who is Infantry (Soldiers)?
Infantrymen attack the enemy on foot, armed with self-loading rifles, automatic rifles, machine guns, grenades, mines, anti-tank weaponry, shoulder-fired missiles, and rocket launchers. Infantry forces take and hold enemy locations and defend their own. Troops rely on various modes of transport, including personnel carriers and jeeps, to maintain a high level of mobility. The infantry also includes elite commando groups and paratroopers. Infantry leaders and personnel must undertake extensive weapons handling training. As the ground combat force, they will capture, destroy, and discourage enemy forces, aid in surveillance, and assist in mobilising soldiers and armaments to support the operation.

What does Infantry (Soldiers) do?
The infantry is the Army's primary ground combat element and its backbone. They are tasked with protecting our nation from any land danger and capturing, defeating, and repelling enemy ground troops. In addition, they will aid in reconnaissance and assist in mobilising soldiers and equipment to support the task as the ground combat force.

- evaluating terrain and recording topographical information
- operating and maintaining the field communications equipment
- assessing the need for and directing supporting fire
