Who is Criminal Lawyer?
A person who is there to defend the rights of the people who have been charged with criminal activity is known as a criminal lawyer. A criminal lawyer is also known as a criminal defence lawyer specialised in the defence of individuals and companies charged with criminal activity. Criminal lawyers work privately or are employed by the various jurisdictions with criminal courts. The criminal lawyer must have a good understanding of the Indian penal code and code of criminal procedure. They also work as defence lawyers or public defenders. The purposes of punishing criminal offenders include preventing additional offences, retribution, deterring certain behaviours, and rehabilitation of offenders. They defend citizens, organisations, and institutions accused of crimes, as well as a wide range of criminal matters such as sex crimes, domestic abuse crimes, violent crimes, drug crimes, theft, embezzlement, and fraud. Criminal lawyers work on several cases, each at different stages at one time.

What does Criminal Lawyer do?
Criminal lawyers, often known as criminal defence lawyers or public defenders, represent individuals, organisations, and entities accused of committing a crime. They perform research and analysis before presenting their findings in court in order to reach an agreement on a plea bargain, a settlement, or the defendant's release. Bail bond hearings, trials, revocation hearings (parole or probation), appeals, and post-conviction remedies are all a part of their duty.
