Computer engineers are professionals who design, implement, and maintain computer hardware and software to ensure it works in smooth harmony. There are two major categories that are involved in the field of computer engineering. Computer engineers who work in the domain of the hardware work on the design of the computers, the development of the system along with working on their components like processors, networks, memory devices, routers, etc. They also work in certain research based aspects and also test the computer systems. They also tend to monitor the smooth functioning of an entire operating system and make amends and modifications that are necessary to meet all the specifications. The ones who are working on the software are responsible for the development and designing aspects of the entire software as per the upcoming versions. It is also inclusive of the network based work, operating system, finding glitches and bugs and rectifying them.

  • Design computer equipment and produce blueprints for the design
  • Test the prototypes of the design
