Overview
Who is CAD Designer?
CAD Designers are the ones who use technology to help generate designs for complex projects. CAD designer used to create 2D images, 3D images, or solid modeling. CAD stands for Computer-Aided Design. CAD designers must have a strong knowledge of design software and computer skills. CAD designers must have knowledge of mathematics, machines, engineering standards, and the materials used to make their plans a reality. CAD Designers use CAD software to generate sketches of complex undertakings. The designs made by CAD designers can help to establish budgets, timelines. A CAD Designer uses computer-aided design software for the creation of three-dimensional models of complicated structures for manufacturing, automotive, product development, and host of others. CAD Designers play a significant part in any designing team. They are responsible for bringing all the ideas of the team to life in a digital world. CAD designers also have the skills of drafters. They have knowledge in the field of subjects like electrical lighting, mechanical systems, circuit layout, or architecture. CAD designers have the knowledge of the codes and regulations to make their designs and coordinate for drawing sets to make sure all the information is correct.

What does CAD Designer do?
CAD designers use computers to generate sketches of complex undertakings like skyscrapers. These designs may be used to create 2D images, a process known as surface modeling, or 3D images, or solid modeling. Using these designs, they help establish timelines, budgets, and assist many different departments in making vital decisions about these projects.
- To design or redesign complex drawings and layouts.
- To obtain reference information for drawings along with the help of other project team members.
- To execute projects on time and budget along with the help of another team member.
- To review design layouts to resolve problems and find layouts that involve compatibility with basic design concepts.
- To investigate and resolve problems with existing designs with the help of manufacturing and engineering team
- To read and understand 2D and 3D drawings.
- To provide alternative design concepts to meet customer demands
- To update and create a database of design records for future reference purposes.
- Assisting the team in CAD drawing and designing tasks.
- To collaborate with others to establish budgets, timelines, and to solve problems.
- To attend regular development meetings
- To keep updated on software technologies and all modern advancement in material
