Who is Athelete?
The word athlete is generally defined as `an individual or a professional who is trained in doing various physical activities or exercised, being involved in the physical agility with increased stamina and even strong endurance and strength to work and excel at any given sports game or physical exercise.` This broad word, "athletics" involves various sports like throwing, running, jumping, walking or even swimming or moving swiftly in their respective games. It majorly depends on the objective of the game to practice their specific skills. Professional sports athletes compete in sporting events that serve as entertainment for spectators. Some sports are team-oriented, such as basketball, football, baseball and soccer while other sports, like tennis and golf, are focused more on individual performers.
In addition to competing in sporting events, athletes must practice their sport and participate in extensive physical conditioning and training in order to stay competitive. Some top professional sports athletes also endorse products and make public appearances. However, it is an orthodox and conventional notion that being an athlete means being only physically strong, and in case of men, means being aggressive. Nowadays, it is considered that it takes a lot more than just physical strength or agility to become an athlete.
It takes a rigorous practice from hours to years to become a strong athlete. In general, it is believed that any professional course requires enough practice and hands on training to be absolutely skilled at their work. However, in the case of an athlete, it specifically takes a lot of hard work, precision, and continuous and tireless practice for even the professionals to become best at their game. Therefore, every athlete has a particular coach or a personal trainer to train them throughout their training period, to help them move towards being better everyday, and even to support them them they feel like they have reached the threshold of their game.

The primary goal of an Athlete is to take an interest in rivalries like football, hockey, wrestling, tennis and so on and speak to the group or nation satisfactorily. Competitors are prepared experts in a specific field who guarantee that the group they speak to at any athletic meet or competition wins. Competitors train consistently to keep up significant levels of wellness and the ability to play the game.

What are the skills, abilities & aptitude needed to become Athelete?
There are a lot of skills that a professional sports athlete has to inculcate within themselves. These skills are not mastered over time. They require enough efforts, time, energy, discipline and an unwavering determination to stay focused towards their goal. The professional athletes need to have a strong and competitive mindset. This competitive mindset helps the person gain a sense of competence within leading towards their eventual progress.
Athletes also need to be absolutely excellent at their hand-eye coordination along with having great motor skills. Kinesthetic skills (including gross motor skills and fine motor skills) are the ones that are highly required in an athlete because of their excessive workout, extreme activeness and also catering to the sense of vigor in them. It, leading to their strong hand-eye coordination and very well spatial understanding helps them to be a pro at their game. They gain stronger reflexes and even stronger sense of self -confidence. Therefore, these abilities not only helps the professional to be constantly better at their game, it also aids them in gaining self confidence.
A high level of physical fitness. is one of the most important aspects of becoming an athlete. Since, they have to put in a lot of physical exertion and physical strength, athletes need to be physical fit and strong. They should also be resilient enough to be able to deal with difficult physical and mental conditions in all adversities of their professional game or even person health. Not only this, a professional and well- trained athlete is expected to have to be able to maintain a high level of concentration and discipline while training and competing.
This discipline and competence quality is definitely helped by their respective coaches and the entire training institute, however, if an athlete is already highly disciplined and competent, it provides them with a strong edge to work on these skills even more. Some other abilities that are also required in a professional athlete are strength, speed (leading to their strong reflexes), enough stamina and endurance, and an optimistic attitude, in general.

An athlete needs to have enough healthy diet and rigorous practice to be able to run miles relentlessly, and without losing their breath as well. It is a non-traditional career and requires enough hard work to achieve success. It is often believed that a positive attitude in any individual is more appreciated as it helps them to see even the adversities in a positive and meaningful light.
